It is a shame that many would think Met Hilarion’s statements “bold”. I suppose there is some justification for this opinion, since we have such immorality all over, and there are many incidents in the church and amoung the hierarchy. I am thrilled the Metropolitan said what he did, but his words are what should be NORMAL for a Christian.

In the 1960′s Hollywood abandoned faith and family values. Went from 100% G-rated films to 80% R-rated in the decade. Stats show that more Christian content improves box-office performance. Wow! Positive Christian content increased from 1% in 1985 to 54% in 2009. “Choose the good. Reject the bad.”

Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell, a crowd favorite! Thanking Tony Perkins for his years of service in the cause of “faith, family and freedom.” Bob McDonnell actually balanced Virginia’s budget in the first year since he took office last year. Do you suppose the federal government could learn something from this performance?

“We can’t spend more than we have.”
“Every young person deserves a great education. His opportunities should depend on his drive and abilities, not his zip-code.”
“Having a job is key to sustainable future. When people are working they can take care of themselves, not depend on government.”
“The value of following the Constitution. We’ve gotta breathe new life into the 10th Amendment.”

McDonnell got several standing ovations even though his was a fairly low-key presentation. He’s looking pretty Presidential.
